Fish Hook Lake Boating Accident
On Thursday, August 25th, an accident on Fish Hook Lake involving a Bass Pro fishing boat and a Lund boat. The passengers in the Bass Pro boat were unharmed, while the passengers in the Lund fishing boat were injured. The two injured were transported off Highway 71 with one of the men being airlifted short after. The third man who was reportedly 73 years old mas declared missing.
Following the incident the Lakes Area Dive Team arrived to help the search for the missing man. The search progressed for the day until nightfall when the Hubbard County Police called for the search to be suspended until the morning. Following this the missing man's body was found August 26th around 1:30pm.
The Hubbard County Sheriff's Department has not yet released names and have also concluded that alcohol was not involved in the accident.
