Wadena has named a new Miss Tootsie for the 2012 year. The pageant showed last Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the Memorial Auditorium. After all the excitement the pageant brought to the crowd, 2011 Miss Tootsie winner, Doug Curtis, known by his stage name, as Constant Lee Doodling, crowned Tom Anderson as “Anita Moregano” Miss Tootsie. Anderson is the owner of Horizon Painting and Restoration and the father of the current Miss Wadena Haley Anderson. The pageant’s theme was labeled the GaGa Goo, which represented the crazy and unique style of Lady Gaga. All contestants showed off their personal talents along with events in casual wear, evening gown and on stage questionnaires. The other competing men of the Wadena area were Erik Osberg as “Penny Wise”, George Behl as “Shelita Buffet”, Kevin Ford as “Alicia P. Supright” and Gary Carsten as “Barbie Buttercup”.
