At approximately 9:30 a.m. Saturday, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash, resulting in fatal injuries. The collision occurred on Co Hwy 88, about three miles southeast of Rothsay. The cars hit head-on, which resulted in significant trauma to each of the drivers. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene; neither was wearing a seat belt. The drivers were the only occupants in both vehicles. Responders to the scene included the Rothsay Fire Department and First Responders, Ringdahl Ambulance, a Life Flight Helicopter, the MN State Patrol, and deputies from the Otter Tail Sheriff’s Office. The names of the victims are being withheld, pending notification of family members. The incident is under investigation.
