  • Site Readings

    Before a radio station can go on the air site readings have to be taken to make sure everything is reading properly. Here is Ed doing some field testing. The De La Hunt Broadcasting family builds their own radio stations from ground up. The only thing we don't do is stand the towers or climb them...use to do that too thou!

    Anyone who knows Larry Engel knows his full of a lot of bull. This is just an example of that. While getting ready to paint De La Hunt Broadcasting on the side of the radio station on Hwy 34 East of Park Rapids, he painted B S and left if for the weekend. Funny Larry!

  • Miss Minnesota Contest

    As a Member of Jaycee's, Ed was named one of the 10 Outstanding Jaycees in the State and was involved in Jaycee's on a State Level. The Jaycee's of Minnesota where responsible and ran the Miss Minnesota Pageant. Ed Mc'd it.
  • 1967 New Location

    In 1967 KPRM moved to a new location on Hwy 34 East of Park Rapids the current spot of their offices still today. From 1962-1967 the radio station was located on 3rd Street West in Park Rapids.

    De La Hunt Broadcasting would broadcast live from the Home Show in Park Rapids. This is our booth one year.

    All of Ed's sons became Ham operators at very young ages. Richard is in front and in the back row Matt, Butch, Ed and David.

    The De La Hunt Broadcasting Company one of the out state radio stations who carried the Minnesota Vikings. Ed and his father Ed Sr, actually had the chance to attend many games over the year.

    Freedom of Speech and the Press were challenged in the late 1970's early 80's when Coffeetime ceased airing during an FCC investigation. FCC found no wrong doing.
