Moondance Jam was epic this year and memory making for many reasons: Monsoon rains, Sammy Hagar on Saloon stage, 4 generations of bands performing! Thursday brought 4 inches of rain in a couple of hours chasing bands of the main stage and closing it down. Papa Roach never made their appearance even thou there was a lot of work behind the scene to try and make it happen. But Sammy Hagar jumped in with both feet and said I want to play the MDJ Saloon which can hold about 500 people and another 1000 or so standing outside of it. It was epic. Caribbean style close up and personal, just like as if you were in Cabo Wabo! Those who stayed on site and gathered into the various bars were treated with quite the surprise when he jumped on stage. The rest of the week went great with things drying up quickly, sunshine returning and all bands getting on stage. mDoobies, Huey Lewis, Finger 11, Peter Frampton and Shinedown just to name a few. It was a great Jam!
