Wadena-Deer Creek Schools is in need of volunteers on Monday, July 2 to help move the high school media center, and the high school art and science classrooms into semi-trailers. These three classrooms were located in the lower level of Wadena-Deer Creek Elementary school after the June 17th 2010 tornado destroyed the high school. Books, furniture and other miscellaneous items will be loaded into trailers and stored until WDC can occupy the new school later this summer.
Volunteers are asked to report at 8 a.m. at the northwest doors of the elementary school (on corner of 4th Street and Highway 29). Look for the white semi-trailers.
WDC custodian Terry Andrie is coordinating the move to the new middle/high school this summer.
