ATV Accidents in Becker County

On Saturday, The Becker County Sheriff’s Office responded to two incidents involving ATV’s going through the ice. The first incident happened at approximately 3:45pm on Little Cormorant Lake in Audubon Township. A male reported that he was driving his side by side ATV when it went through the ice in approximately 4-5 feet of water. The driver made it off the ice safely and did not require medical attention. The second incident happened at approximately 5pm on the north end of Big Floyd Lake, what is known as Mud Lake, in Detroit Township. A male was driving his side by side ATV pulling a fish house when the vehicle and fish house went through the ice in an undetermined depth of water. The driver was able to exit the vehicle through the passenger side window and safely make it off the lake. The driver did not require medical attention.
