On May 15th at approximately 2pm, the Beltrami county Sheriff's Office acted on a report of a deceased male face down at Lake Bemidji. The location was towards to Paul Bunyan Park dock. Responding officers recovered the body of an adult male who was reported to be ruffly in his 50s. The case is still under investigation and the body was sent to the Beltrami coroner for identification. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Bemidji Police Department, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
