A school bus filled with children was heading down south Irvine Avenue at around 7:40am when it was struck by a car heading east on South Movil Lake Road. The bus came to a rest on its side in a ditch.

All students involved in the accident were taken to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center to be looked over and will later be delivered to their schools according to the school Superintendent Jim Hess.

From the bus there were 30 students delivered to the emergency room, but most were quickly released. Most students had either minor injuries or no injuries at all. The only student with major injuries was a student that needed to be air lift to the hospital. The student had his arm pinned between a bus seat and a window when the bus rolled. The bus diver was also injured and is still being treated at Sanford.
